Data that has been anonymized, and therefore can no longer be used to identify an individual, is not considered personal data by Landmark.

Landmark Global collects various types of personal information from users within and outside the United States, including the EU, as required for our shipping operations, and in other cases, to improve your experience using our sites and services. This may include automatic/indirect data (e.g., consumer address for shipment delivery) and given/direct data (e.g., email for newsletter sign-up).

Landmark does not sell or lease your personal data to third-parties for any reason. Landmark will not share or trade your personal data for promotional purposes, unless specifically directed or approved by the data owner.

Information you provide directly to Landmark

Landmark will store information you enter voluntarily on this site, or provide directly in any other way. The means with which we may gather information from you directly include inquiry and contact forms and occasional questionnaires/surveys.

Purpose and Use

Landmark Global may collect and use information via our sites to provide you with requested information, as well as help us design and deliver better services to our clients. Inquiry forms are provided for users who are interested in or have questions about our services, and the questions asked are designed to help us guide you to the solutions best suited to your needs. We also offer the option to receive updates and information about our services by providing your name and email on our site. Landmark may also occasionally distribute surveys in order to gauge customer satisfaction and experience, and ultimately improve the quality of our services. Completion of any forms or questionnaires is entirely voluntary, although may be required to submit certain inquiries with our company.

This data is not shared with external third-parties, and you can request to stop receiving marketing information from Landmark at any time. If you wish to opt-out of marketing-based communication, please email privacy@landmarkglobal.com, or select ‘Unsubscribe’ on a relevant email.

Consignees/Consumers

If you order from a site or do business with a company that supports Landmark Global as a carrier, we may receive the following information about you as required for shipment clearance and delivery:

  • Government Issued ID (consignee tax or national ID is occasionally required, only for certain countries)
  • Order/shipment information (e.g., items purchased)

Purpose and use

Landmark may use your order information, including delivery address, contact information and item details as required to facilitate shipment delivery. This applies to information provided to any company supporting Landmark Global as a carrier.

Clients, Suppliers and Other Business Partners

If you are a company that supports Landmark Global as a carrier, and are connecting to our systems directly, we may collect the following information as part of our services:

  • Client contact information (name, email and phone numbers)
  • Client financial information for billing purposes
  • Client address details for billing purposes
  • Shipment origin address details for TSA compliance
  • IP address information

Purpose and use

Landmark Global will collect general company information as part of your account setup in our system. In order to facilitate delivery and manage custom clearance, when applicable, your company name and address information may be shared with Landmark Global’s vendors, Landmark Global’s related entities and government entities required by law.

Outside of your company name and shipment origin address information, Landmark does not share any business contacts or financial information with third-parties.

Cookies and other technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer in order to collect general visitor behavior and internet log information. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual, such as tailoring its operations to your particular preferences and interests.

Landmarkglobal.com uses cookies to improve the overall experience of using out sites and services and to determine how our sites and services are being used. The data collected from these cookies is kept anonymous. Landmark also uses a cookie to save the language the site is displayed in when you visit, in order to improve your experience the next time you come to our site.

Our primary web application uses two cookies, one for session handling and one to track website usage, which captures anonymous info about the user’s browser version, what pages they visit, etc.

Landmark requires that all information is handled in accordance with relevant privacy laws.

Children’s Data

Landmark Global’s sites and applications are not directed at or marketed to children. Landmark does not knowingly collect personal information from children directly, however we may receive such data from our clients if a minor has ordered from a site that supports Landmark Global as a carrier, as required for shipment delivery. If you believe that we have received personal data belonging to a minor where consent was not appropriately obtained, please contact the company responsible for initially collecting the information, and notify us at privacy@landmarkglobal.com so that we can delete the data from our servers and make any additional corrections as needed.

Protection and retention of your personal information

Processing and storage security

Landmark’s servers are all located within the United States (contiguous 48), where your personal information is processed and stored. We use industry-standard methods of data encryption to keep your data safe during transmission. When data is stored by Landmark, we use tightly controlled computer systems housed in physically secure locations.

How long will we keep the collected data?

Landmark global will retain collected personal information only as long as it is necessary and relevant for operations or as required by law.

Landmark may also retain personal information from closed accounts for the following purposes: law compliance, collection of owed fees, dispute resolution, problem troubleshooting, investigation requirements and any other purposes permitted by law.

Users covered by GDPR and CCPA regulations have specific data protection rights, which Landmark extends to all users interacting with our systems. This includes requesting access to, changes to or deletion of your personal information, as well as requests to restrict processing, object processing, or move/transfer your data.
