Important Update: Impact of Canada Post National Strike on Deliveries
As of November 15, 2024, The Canadian Union of Postal Workers at Canada Post has initiated a full national strike. This has led to the closure of all Canada Post facilities and a suspension of delivery services until a settlement is reached.
At Landmark Global, we’ve been proactively preparing for this situation:
- Most shipments are routed through our extensive direct delivery network.
- Packages have already been moved out of the Canada Post network wherever possible.
However, Canada Post remains a valued partner. Here’s what you need to know
- Canada Post Only Locations: Deliveries to certain areas (e.g., PO Boxes) will be held. Our team will work to action held packages with address updates as possible. Once the strike ends, these packages will be prioritized for expedited delivery.
- Proactive Routing Adjustments: We’re leveraging alternative delivery options to minimize disruptions. In some cases, extended delivery surcharges may apply for shipments destined to remote locations.
- Temporary SLA Suspension: Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are temporarilysuspended until Canada Post resumes regular operations
Thank you for your patience as we navigate this situation. Our team is here to help, and we’ll continue to provide updates. Let’s hope for a swift and fair resolution. For questions or assistance, please reach out to your Landmark Global sales or customer service representative.
