Unlocking Global Markets: Hey Rusty's Ecommerce Strategy for Music Merchandise Shipping
Hey Rusty is busy shipping thousands of music merchandise items worldwide. Faced with the challenge of getting all these parcels labeled and shipped cross-border, they sought assistance from Shiptheory and Landmark Global. The solutions these partners provided have been music to their ears.
Hey Rusty has been in the music business for a very long time. They shifted towards music merchandise products a couple of years ago after the CD and DVD market slowed down. Today Hey Rusty sells around 9,000 unique fully licenced products, with about 40,000 SKUs, that are sold and sent worldwide. They sell these items through a number of sales channels such as Etsy, Wish and eBay for example.
Today Hey Rusty works with Shiptheory and Landmark Global for the labelling and shipping of its products globally. We asked Hey Rusty’s Nigel King how they handled shipping before taking on external logistic partners: ‘It is hard to quantify, but I would spend probably half my day doing nothing other than processing orders, labels and printing, instead of running the business and driving things forward.’
Where did Landmark Global and Shiptheory come in?
After a very bad experience with another logistics provider, we got in touch with Landmark Global. They handled things very professionally. They have a nearby hub in Heathrow. We can bring parcels there, or have them collected from us. Landmark Global then put us in touch with Shiptheory, who offered a solution for on-the-spot creation of proper labels.
Benefits of Professional E-commerce Service: A Testimonial from Hey Rusty
What I like with Shiptheory is that the moment an order comes in, it appears on the Shiptheory system. This allows us to make clear and complete labels very quickly. It’s convenient, useful and comes at a good price. After that, parcels go to Landmark Global for shipment, and it has to be said that they have a great tracking system. The importance of tracking parcels lies in accountability rather than speed. When customers order something, it can never be delivered fast enough. However, upon receiving a dispatch notification, their expectations are managed as they know the shipment is on its way and they can track the entire process.
After that parcels go to Landmark Global for shipment, and it has to be said that they have a great tracking system.
